Alya was member of the Remnants. She fell in love with Jacob, and he with her. She looked like one of Jacob's previous loves.
While Jacob was alone, walking the passes above the valley, Alya went to him and they embraced each other for the first time. Alya got pregnant and bore Jacob a daughter, who they named Sofia after his previous love.[1]
