Tomb Raider III levels
Meteorite Cavern

Meteorite Cavern is the nineteenth level of Tomb Raider III. In it, Lara has to face a terrifying and hideous mutated Mark Willard.

Walkthrough[]

Willard's mutant form is not only terrifying but deadly too. His most significant move is shooting a beam that is unavoidable and can directly kill you when you cross the line outside of the circle, so the key to defeating him is to keep sprinting around the site so both you and him are facing the crater either side and fire upon him. Using the Desert Eagle is the best choice to get the job done fast. Beware it takes practice and patience as the crater is very narrow and you have the risk of falling into both it and the lava surrounding it

Keep your distance from Willard and shoot him until he collapses and is stunned for a few seconds, then sprint to the nearest chamber and collect one of the four artifacts. Do this another three times and once you have collected all four, the meteorite will sink back into the crater making Willard now vulnerable to your attacks. Do the same technique again and this time Willard will be destroyed for good.

Afterwards you have to climb out of the cavern using the nearby ladder on one of the chambers then from there it will require you to jump and monkey-swing to get to the very top.

Once you have climbed out, there will be a few flamethrowers to greet you and a switch leading to a door you have to go through. You will then see a landing strip where a helicopter is landing. The gate will open and you will be able to enter, ending the level.
