This wikia has recently become eligible for Adoption and we are looking for active editors who care about the community and would love to see it become even more successful. What does an Admin do? The job of the Admin is to support and help the other editors. We encourage Admins to monitor their communities closely through patrols and activity and watch for users that seem to be struggling and in need of help. They should add information to the wikia on a regular basis because the more good content you have, the better chance a wikia has of being successful. We are always here to answer any questions you might have, and we want to see your community succeed as much as you do!
Many of our Admins have gone on to become Stars ! I was one before I become staff and it was a title I was very proud of.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Announced for XBO and PS4
At this year's Spike VGX 2013 Awards, publisher Square-Enix announced that Tomb Raider will be released to Playstation 4 and Xbox One as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. The game was originally released this past March.
United Front Games, along with Nixxes Software, helped port the game into the next generation, according to the Crystal Dynamics website.
The Definitive Edition will improve upon many aspect of Tomb Raider, including:
- Running at 1080p for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4
- Feature AMD's TressFX technology, improving Lara's hair to become more realistic
- The PlayStation 4 version will support Remote Play via PlayStation Vita
- The Dualshock 4's light bar will change color depending on gameplay scenarios
- Xbox One's Kinect will be utilized for voice controls to change weapons/attachments and navigate menus.

Tomb Raider 'Angel of Darkness' Deleted FMV Released
Acknowledging the tenth anniversary year of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness (2003), composer for that installment; Peter Connelly, has released an unseen Full Motion Video (FMV) sequence.
In the FMV sequence, Lara remembers her entombment at the Great Pyramid of Khufu after imprisoning the god Set. Lara falls into the darkness as her former mentor Professor Werner Von Croy is unable to pull her up to safety. Lara also recalls her rescue by Putai, a North African shaman who gives her guidance and a Scarab amulet that will assist her.
GDC 2013: Creating Emotion in the Systems of Tomb Raider
The 2013 Game Developers Conference in coming to a close, but before it does, Wikia visited a fascinating talk by Johnathan Hamel, Senior Systems Designer at Crystal Dynamics on Tomb Raider. Check out the talk highlights below to see how Hamel and the team shaped the world of Tomb Raider to build a new and compelling Lara Croft.
From the beginning, Hamel explains, the goal for the latest Tomb Raider was to maintain "emotional synchronization," the alignment of game narrative and game mechanics to maintain an emotionally compelling experience. Hamel and the team knew they were building a "survival action" game on three pillars: "desperate combat, traversal and exploration, and a smart and resourceful Lara."
To accomplish the Herculean task of reimagining a new Lara, the developers at Crystal Dynamics sought to meld some of Lara's emotional state with the player's emotional state as they traversed the world. This combination of "theme and meaning" drove much of the team's design decisions…

I'm Mark, from Wikia's Community Development Team, and I have an exciting announcement to make today! On March 11th, which is nine days from now, the entire Community Development Team will be spending a whole day on improving various parts of the wiki, such as its content, main page and theme, to celebrate the launch of the newest installment in the Tomb Raider series.
During this day, our entire team will be working solely on the wiki. We'll try our best to create and edit as many articles as we can about the upcoming Tomb Raider game, as well as the older games in the series. We'll also draft up a brand new skin, wordmark and main page for the wiki, which we will present to you at the end of the day.

Tomb Raider PC Requirements
Crystal Dynamics has announced the recommend and required PC Specs for Tomb Raider. The game comes out March 5th and will probably look gorgeous on PC. The PC Version will also features some PC specific features. Check out the details below.

Previewing the new Lara Croft
Recently, the developers of Tomb Raider held an event in which they introduced the beginning of Lara Croft's new story. The following two stories show off some footage from the game. Tell us if these videos interest you more or less in this game.
Gamescom - Tomb Raider Preview
Lara Croft is one of the most iconic characters of the video games industry, but now it seems that we will have to get to know her all over again, as the upcoming Tomb Raider instalment is actually a prequel. The ninth part of the long-standing Tomb Raider series is actually the "first" game in the series. It stars the 21 year old Lara Croft who still has to learn the many things that make her an athletic and beautiful archaeologist. The title of the game is, quite simply, "Tomb Raider".
Not long after Gamescom had opened, a huge queue had already formed. Surprisingly, even with Tomb Raider about 90% of the line consisted of men and boys, to my surprise, considering Lara Croft has a large female fanbase. After about an hour of waiting time (which, in terms of Gamescom, is quite short), I finally got in. We started off by watching a presentation on the game, which took about 45 minutes.

Tomb Raider reboot announced
Square Enix has revealed that a Tomb Raider prequel is being developed by Crystal Dynamics. The game will feature an inexperienced, 21-year-old Lara Croft fresh out of academy. The story begins with her being shipwrecked at sea during an expedition off the coast of Japan.

Guardian of Light Release date
New game: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is released on Xbox Market on August 18 2010!
