Yeti Thralls are enemies in the Tomb Raider Series, appearing in Tomb Raider Underworld. They were used by Thor to guard Mjölnir and the Midgard Serpent in Helheim. Yeti Thralls were created when a Yeti touched or fell into Eitr.
Appearance[]
Yeti Thralls are essentially 'zombie' Yeti. They have missing skin, a dull grey/blue appearance. They have grey/blue eyes and when shot, they emit blue 'clouds'. They have chains and armour on their arms and torso. The Super Yeti Thralls have more armour and are slightly taller.
Tactics[]
Yeti Thralls go for a kill first, think later approach. They will charge and hit Lara knocking her over. They are the toughest of all thralls. Mjölnir is very effective against them being able to take one down in a few shots. Adrenaline Headshots can kill a Yeti Thrall in one shot. It takes several sticky grenades to kill them. Once a Yeti Thrall is down be sure to 'stomp' them to destroy their skeletons, killing them permanently. (If one of them is destroyed by the headshot or sticky grenade or Mjölnirr or via Shadow Strike, it smashes the skeleton automatically, so no need to stomp.) Yeti Thralls can be taken down by a couple of Shadow Strikes. Super Yeti Thralls take a lot of fire power to take down, even for the Doppelgänger.
Trivia[]
- The Super Yeti Thralls do not appear in Underworld, they first appear in Lara's Shadow.
- It is possible the Yeti Thralls are simply the same creatures seen in Tomb Raider II after coming in contact with the eitr. However, both enemies are from different continuities, and the yetis from TR2 appear in Nepal and the Himalayas while the thralls are solely seen in the Artic.
